Key Tasks

• Preparing and proposing the necessary regulations, instructions, directives, and prescriptions within the framework of the assigned tasks with the cooperation of the relevant authorities and communicating them to all affiliated institutions and centers.
• Preparation of patterns and indicators related to the compiling and arranging of the research projects in order to maintain the desired coordination and operation of existing facilities, resources, and manpower in cooperation with the Office of Monitoring and Evaluation.
• Adopt appropriate measures to align the research projects with the existing research priorities
• Establishing mutual communication and regulating the workflow between councils, assemblies and scientific-technical committees of the Institutes / National Research Centers related to research and performing all related matters in the relevant organization
• Cooperation with relevant units to prepare banks, databases of research projects, researchers, scientific articles, research environments and spaces, books, pamphlets, and scientific journals, research achievements, and technical knowledge.
• Coordinating in the review and approval of research projects
• Review and compare the results of the implementation of projects and programs with the objectives specified in the communicated programs
• Planning to publish the results of research projects to the relevant units for implementation
• Evaluating and denominating new cultivars obtained from conducting research projects
• Implementation of secretarial affairs of the Research Coordination Committee
• Supervising the activities and research performance of the Institutes / National Research Centers and taking the necessary measures in order to optimize the research methods
• Directing and supervising the prioritization of research programs and activities of Institutes / National and Provincial Research Centers  according to the existing challenges and bottlenecks
• Planning for qualitative development, professionalization of research and creating the ability to theorize
• Guidance of Institutes / National and Provincial Research Centers in order to direct research activities to solve the executive problems of the country
• Proposing joint research with scientific research institutes, universities and educational institutes
• Monitoring the performance of the Institutes / National and Provincial Research Centers in relation to following up on how to implement the approved research projects in terms of its compliance with the items approved in the project proposal
• Planning and preparing the necessary instructions on how to analyze and evaluate the proposed project and communicate it after the relevant process
• Planning for implementation of socio-economic and research extension projects in all research steps and also in the executive stages after the completion of the project
• Supervising the performance of the social/economic and extension departments/groups in the Institutes / National and Provincial Research Centers
• Collecting and presenting the results of economic-social-extensional studies of projects to the relevant communities
